Gas Exports Have a Dirty Secret: A Carbon Footprint Rivaling Coal’s https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-01-23/gas-exports-have-dirty-secret-a-carbon-footprint-rivaling-coal-s

Without appropriate regulation, the production of LNG (a process necessary to export gas) is more environmentally harmful than coal.
This begs 3 questions:
1. is this how the U.S. should lead?
2. Is it in Americans’ interest to export our natural resources or should we instead preserve for cost effective manufacturing by future generations?
3. Michael Bloomberg has committed $500 million to launch Beyond Carbon, a campaign aimed at closing the remaining coal-powered plants in the U.S. by 2030 and slowing the construction of gas plants. Is this a good example of how Bloomberg would lead as president? He’s donated A LOT of money on causes I support, even if they are unpopular (e.g. encouraging the reduction of sugar consumption).
Also note that this is the first concrete example of I’ve seen of Bloomberg News campaigning for Michael. Good to see Americans have a counter to Sinclair Media and Fox news, albeit at the expense of media bias. At least Bloomberg is factual.
